From HWY 101:(From Bay Area/Santa Rosa)
- Highway 101, 5 miles North of Ukiah. Turn right on Hwy 20 exit, sign reads Williams Upper Lake.
- Hwy. 20 drive 5 miles turn left; sign reads Potter Valley-Lake Pillsbury.
- Drive approx. 5 miles turn right on Eel River Rd @ Hoppers Corner (several buildings bar and grill.)
- Drive approx. 5 miles to top of ridge, take right on Cutoff Rd. go approx 1 mi. to bottom turn right.
- Drive approx. 1/4 mi. cross bridge and turn right. (Lake Pillsbury sign)
- Drive approx. 12 miles (about 30 min) on Gravel Rd. cross small bridge at bottom of hill, turn left at stop sign in front of store. (starts paved road)
- Drive on paved road approx. 3 miles keeping to the right.
- Approx. 1 mile past Pogie Point campground, turn left on Pillsbury Ranch Rd. look for metal mileage marker signs painted lime green, Pillsbury Ranch overhead sign approx. 100 yards down the road. (If you miss it you will cross over a small bridge)
- Drive up Fuller drive 1 mile; take left on Hunter Rd.
- Drive 200 feet turn right on Hunter Rd. Don't go up steep hill. Pass little house to the right. Look for Hull Mtn. Lodge Sign overhead
- Cabins signs will direct you further
- For emergencies, use gatekeeper code at gate for assistance
- Closest payphone is at the Soda Creek Store. (Cell Phones do not work in the area)
From Clearlake/ Sacramento
- take I-5 north to Hwy. 20 towards Williams.
- Head west towards Clear Lake
- Take the Lake Pillsbury turn-off in Upper Lake at “Main Street” (you will be turning north).
- CONTINUED-
- Turn left at the Forest Service Station on to ELK MOUNTAIN ROAD. Follow M1 Road all the way over mountain
- Most of the road is paved except for 8 miles about half way in.
- You will be back on pavement for about 4 miles as you drop down onto the “Logging Road” (right to Lake Pillsbury at split).
- Go for about 2 miles to Soda Creek Store on right side of road
- follow that M1 road for about 3 miles staying right as you crest the hill (about 1 mile).
- First you will pass Fuller Grove and then Pogie Point campgrounds (and the lake) on your right.
- (After a large white ATV Forestry Sign) Heads up
- Look to the left as you end a straightaway (it's right after white OHV vehicle sign on right) there is an unmarked left turn, (off pavement) you must take soon
- If you get to the airstrip with stop sign, you have gone too far!) just turn around and take 1st right you come to.
- You will see is a large archway about 50ft. in- that says “Lake Pillsbury Ranch” when you reach the gate, pull up to the gate kiosk.
- We will provide gate entrance code once booking is set through Airbnb
- Speed limit within the Ranch is 15 mph.
